OUR BOARD
#TwitterArtExhibit utilizes social media and public engagement to generate income for charities and nonprofit organizations. In the past, #TwitterArtExhibit has generated funds for a library suffering from deep funding cuts to purchase much-needed children’s books, for an abused women’s shelter seeking to improve the lives of the families they serve, and for an arts organization mentoring underprivileged young adults in preparation for careers in the visual arts.
-
Artists worldwide donate postcard-sized, handmade original artwork to the TAE
-
TwitterArtExhibit organizes a local, physical showcasing of the art.
-
The public is invited to buy the art at an affordable, flat price.
-
This provides artists with new exhibition opportunities, new audiences and benefactors, and appeals to art enthusiasts all over the world.
-
It’s fun!
WHO WE ARE
Postcard Art Exhibit, formerly known as "Twitter Art Exhibit," is an annual postcard art fundraising initiative that utilizes social media and public engagement to support charities and nonprofit organizations while promoting our Postcard Art Exhibit family of artists.
Until 2019, 100% of the proceeds from each postcard art sale went to our annual beneficiary. Due to the high overhead costs to keep the organization running, Postcard Art Exhibit now earns a 20% commission, allowing the P.A.E. team of volunteers to repeat the event annually. Postcard Art Exhibit, which was rebranded in September of 2023, thereby leaving behind our original name of "Twitter Art Exhibit," was founded and created in Norway in 2010 by artist, David Sandum.
Social media plays a significant role in our initiative. We share, seed, and promote our artists to thank them for participating and making each event a huge success.
PRESS RELEASES & INFO
P.A.E. 26 PRESS RELEASE

POSTCARD ART EXHIBIT 2026 : NETHERLANDS
P.A.E. 26 IS OUR 15TH EXHIBITION!

The Postcard Art Exhibit (P.A.E.) proudly announces its 15th international exhibition, opening June 6, 2026 (6 juni 2026) at See Lab Project Space in Scheveningen, The Hague — a beloved coastal district known for its rich cultural heritage and thriving artist community. This year’s exhibition, curated by Dutch artist Tessa Maagdenberg, will support the Blijft-je-Bij art program at Museum Beelden aan Zee — a groundbreaking initiative for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
POSTCARD ART EXHIBIT 2026 IS ABOUT ARTISTS SUPPORTING PEOPLE AFFECTED BY ALZHEIMER'S
ABOUT THE CAUSE
The Blijft-je-Bij program, inspired by the Meet Me at MoMA initiative in New York and Dutch programs such as Onvergetelijk Museum (Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam) and the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven, invites participants and their caregivers to experience art together in a safe and inspiring space. Guided by specially trained educators, the program focuses on shared discovery and open conversation — helping participants reconnect through memory, emotion, and creativity.
Funds raised through P.A.E. 26 will directly support this program, expanding access to art as a bridge to self-esteem, joy, and human connection.
Founded in 2009 by artist David Sandum, the Postcard Art Exhibit (born as Twitter Art Exhibit) uses small works of art to make a big difference. Since then, thousands of artists across 65 countries have donated postcard-sized originals to raise funds for charitable causes.
For 2026, artists are invited to submit original 13 × 17.5 cm (5 × 7 in) artworks that express hope, connection, and creativity. Each postcard sold helps bring art experiences to those living with Alzheimer’s — turning art into healing and remembrance.
ABOUT THE EXHIBIT
A VENUE STEEPED IN CREATIVITY
The exhibition will be hosted at See Lab Project Space, an artist-run cultural hub just steps from the sea in The Hague’s historic artist quarter. Housed in a charming brick school building, See Lab is home to a thriving community of contemporary artists — a perfect setting for this celebration of art and purpose.
