#TwitterArtExhibit utilizes social media and public engagement to generate income for charities and nonprofit organizations. In the past, #TwitterArtExhibit has generated funds for a library suffering from deep funding cuts to purchase much-needed children’s books, for an abused women’s shelter seeking to improve the lives of the families they serve, and for an arts organization mentoring underprivileged young adults in preparation for careers in the visual arts.

Postcard Art Exhibit — formerly known as Twitter Art Exhibit — began as a small idea with a big heart: to unite artists around the world for a good cause. What started as a grassroots online art initiative has now grown into an annual international exhibition featuring hundreds of original postcard-sized artworks — each one created and donated by an artist who believes in the power of giving through art.
Every year, our volunteer team partners with a different charity or nonprofit, channeling the collective creativity of artists to raise funds and awareness. Since our first event, Postcard Art Exhibit has supported 14 charitable organizations across the globe — from children’s libraries and women’s shelters to youth mentorship programs, arts foundations, and humanitarian relief efforts. See our full list of past events here.
Harnessing the reach of social media — on platforms like Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, and LinkedIn — we invite artists everywhere to take part. Each artist creates a small work (13 cm x 17.5 cm or 5 in x 7 in) and sends it across borders to become part of something larger than themselves.
The resulting collection is exhibited in a physical gallery, in a new city or country each year, where the public can purchase these one-of-a-kind art cards to support that year’s chosen cause. For artists, it’s a way to share their work with new audiences, connect with peers around the world, and use their creativity to make a tangible difference. For collectors and visitors, it’s a celebration of art, generosity, and global community — one postcard at a time.

If you don't have tracking on your artwork and have no way of knowing if your work has arrived, no worries. We might send you a message when it's reached our hands. But, as work arrives in bundles and in larger quantities as we approach the deadlines, we will be hyper-focused on prioritizing the processing of your artwork, busily handling each piece with care. You may not hear from us instantly. With our team in place, it shouldn't take us very long to give a shout-out on social media that your work is getting prepped for the catalog and exhibition.
At the end of 2022, we implemented a new way to track the cards that get sent to us. Our curator now "checks you in" into our database via the confirmation # you received when you registered. This means anyone working behind the scenes can quickly assess if your artwork has entered our system. You will be able to access your confirmation ticket # under the "events" tab in your account member pages here on the website, should you need to access your personal ID #.
Our team will do their best to represent your work accurately by carefully color-proofing each piece and cross-checking info for good measure.
After we check-in your artwork, we photograph it with a color and white balance card. We use a polarizing filter to reduce glare from glossy works and professional lights for proper exposure. Once the work has been photographed, we proof it, scale it, process it for web and print media, and create a mock-up to show off the art with a curated backdrop. Then Sarah jumps in and assists with the graphic design and readying your artwork for our print catalog and our webshop.
Once we have multiple images of your work processed and ready, we then:
post your artwork with a shout-out using the hashtag #postcardartexhibit26 (Check your social media accounts for your mention.) post your artwork on our Facebook page at, facebook.com/postcardartexhibit post your artwork on our Instagram page at, instagram.com/paeartforacause
post your artwork on our new LinkedIn page, linkedin.com/company/postcard-art-exhibit
post your artwork on our X page at, x.com/PAEartforacause
Don't forget to follow us on social media!

After the physical exhibition closes, the artwork will be viewable online for the public to enjoy until we start promoting for the next event.
Those unable to attend our exhibition in person will be available to purchase from the remaining collection online. Any cards remaining after the exhibition sale has ended will become the collection of Postcard Art Exhibit's beneficiary for that year. Often, our art donations are permanently displayed on the walls of each charity.
All work received will be considered a donation and will not be returned to the sender, even if it remains unsold.

Online sales will take place after the physical opening has concluded. The art exhibition will be on our website, with each artwork marked as "available soon" until the online sale begins.
You'll be able to peruse the collection in the weeks leading up to the exhibition. If you're logged in to the website, you may select your favorites by clicking on "add to wishlist". Your favorites will be stored in your account pages until the exhibition/sale has concluded.
Please use the "search this website" feature to search for your favorite artist by name, country, etc.

FUNDING LEGITIMATE CHARITIES
During the physical exhibition, sales are made on-site at the venue and collected and handled by the charity and volunteers. During online sales, our partnered charity will collect each order as they arrive and carefully package and ship the works to our buyers worldwide. As orders are collected, the entire team of volunteers within the charity, the curator's team, and the P.A.E. organization are alerted of each sale. We have complete transparency within our organization, our curator, and our beneficiary.
At the close of each Postcard Art Exhibition, 80% of the revenue of artwork sales goes to our partnered charity for that year. The remaining 20% goes to the P.A.E. organization to help cover ongoing maintenance costs and overhead. Postcard Art Exhibit relies on these funds to have sustainability and repeat the exhibition annually.
*Benefiting organizations are vetted by Postcard Art Exhibit's curators and our organizing board. One of our biggest concerns is doing our due diligence, and we take every precaution to ensure our initiative does not exploit anyone.
- 07
Entrants grant Postcard Art Exhibit a non-exclusive license to use images of their work in print and online, Internationally, in perpetuity.
Copyright for submitted works remains the property of the entrant. When an image is used, the artist and title of the work will be acknowledged. The organizers reserve the right to apply a watermark to digital images. Postcard Art Exhibit and that year's beneficiary may use images for commercial purposes.

Artists will be credited online, in printed materials, and alongside their physical artworks when on display.
