TAE23 to Benefit Urban Native Youth in Vancouver BC

"Through Art we can change the world" - David Sandum

Twitter Art Exhibit 2023, curated by Kelly Kitson, will be our 13th event! TAE23 is popping up in the beautiful city of Vancouver, BC, Canada.

We're almost there!

You've done it again, artists! You've stepped up and responded to our call. As a result, we have hundreds upon hundreds of beautiful one-of-a-kind handmade art cards ready to grace the exhibition walls next weekend at the Pipe Shop venue in North Vancouver, BC.

Finding enough hours in the day to finish the job as the newly appointed executive director of Twitter Art Exhibit after the lovely Cat Salter stepped down was rewarding yet challenging. It's been an honor to serve our artists, support our growing team, and work quietly behind the scenes to assist with our efforts of creating the most successful event so that our benefactor this year, Urban Native Youth Association, receives much-needed financial support.

It's been an honor working with our talented and detail-oriented data wizard, Kelly Kitson, our curator, and Lucas Riedl, Director of Youth Engagement at Urban Native Youth Association. I'm looking forward to finally meeting everyone in person after eight months of Zoom calls and texting! Kelly and I have connected and formed a friendship through our almost daily contact over all of these months.

It's also been an honor to work alongside our artist outreach and event coordinator, Susan Greig, of Braid St Studios, and Sarah Pooley, who has assisted greatly with our image processing and graphic design needs. Having Sarah's support has been invaluable. To help keep our overhead costs down, Sarah will be our shipping coordinator for our UK and foreign customers purchasing catalogs this year. This also makes shipping costs more affordable for our UK artists and supporters. And once we have sold out of our pre-orders for our lovely TAE23 catalog for the UK, we'll be offering print-on-demand services shipping out of the UK, and shipping worldwide. We're delighted to provide this feature at the same affordable price.

Thank you to Lesley Linley for the cover art for this year's catalog.

Twitter Art Exhibit 2023 Catalog

Our TAE23 catalog is currently in print and will be distributed to our headquarters in Cambridge, UK, Abbotsford, Canada, and Petaluma, USA, as soon as next week. Order fulfillment will be happening in the first weeks of July. If you've ordered a catalog, we'll contact you before shipping to discuss shipping costs and order options. We apologize for the long-anticipated wait. We promise it's worth it!

To purchase unsold copies of our TAE23 "pre-order"catalog, please head to our shop page and select which country you wish to receive your order from, the UK, Canada, or the USA. We only have a few copies left for distribution from our UK headquarters, but soon we'll offer our print-on-demand-service. So watch for that if you miss out.

Please help us be able to keep providing our catalog each year. When you receive your catalog in July, please share images and videos on social media so others can get a look. We need all the support we can get, so hashtag #tae23 and show us some #taelove.

On the 24th thru the 25th of June, at the Pipe Shop Venue in North Vancouver, we present our TAE23 Gala and Sale to you. Opening hours on the 24th, 1-8 pm and on the 25th, 11-6 pm.

Thank you, TAE artists, for your continued support, generosity, and love. It's inspiring to sit in the seat I'm sitting in and be so closely involved with each artist's work. By coming together, we are making a tremendous impact not only by providing support to Urban Native Youth Association but by giving away your time, and your skillfully crafted artwork impacts the world in a positive light. It demonstrates that we each have the power to make a meaningful difference in this world through giving, and what better way to give than through art?
